Administrative Department of Health Care

Department activities:
The Administrative Department for Health Care performs normative legal, administrative, analytical planning, coordination, administrative and other professional tasks from the County's self-governing scope related to health activity and gives approval and opinions of the competent bodies of the counties on acts and proposals of health institutions. The Department performs tasks assigned by the state administration related to exercising the right to health care of persons residing in the Republic of Croatia who are incapable of living and working independently and who do not have the means to support themselves and cannot use that right on other grounds, as well as tasks related to records of procured and issued medicines containing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

Administrative Department for General Administration

Department activities:
In the Administrative Department for General Administration, administrative and professional work is carried out in the field of personal status of citizens (change of personal name, additions and corrections of state registers), conclusion of marriage, life partnership, management of state registers (register of births, register of marriages, register of deaths), books of citizens, life partnership register and voting register.
As a part of the Administrative Department for General Administration, for the performance of tasks related to the management of state registries, records of Croatian citizenship, the register of life partnerships, marriages and life partnerships, and the acquisition of Croatian citizenship, there are Registry Offices, in accordance with the Regulation on the areas of registry offices ("National Gazzette", number 2/98) namely:

In the area of general administration, the Administrative Department for General Administration performs administrative tasks of the first level and other professional tasks, which include:
- change of personal name, subsequent entries, corrections, additions, and cancellation of entries in state registers;
- maintaining state registries, keeping records of Croatian citizenship, maintaining the register of life partnerships and issuing documents from them;
- registration of the birth of a child, registration of a marriage, registration of a life partnership, registration of the fact of death,
- registration of new-born children in the residence records at the address of the parents (determination of the MBG), printing of a certificate of residence, forwarding of information/requests for registration of new-born children for compulsory health insurance and for obtaining a one-time financial support for a new-born child
- marriage and life partnership;
- acquisition of Croatian citizenship;
- issuance of documents from state registries, records of Croatian citizenship, and life partnership register;
- maintaining the register of voters;
- providing data from the above records

Administrative Department for Economy and Tourism

Department activities:
The Administrative Department for Economy and Tourism performs administrative and professional tasks in the area of encouraging and promoting entrepreneurial activities, achieving conditions for the development of industrial branches of strategic importance for Zadar County, and strengthening the County's business environment. It coordinates the work of all administrative bodies in order to ensure the conditions and help entrepreneurs for the realization of investments and entrepreneurial programs. Performs tasks related to the establishment and monitoring of the work of entrepreneurial incubators, competence centres and entrepreneurial zones, as well as lending to (small and medium-sized) entrepreneurs and craftsperson. Performs tasks in the field of energy and coordinates the implementation of regional energy policy programs and projects. Performs tasks in the field of improving the development of the County's tourist offer, works on the implementation of sectoral strategic documents at the regional level, makes proposals for faster development of the sector and coordinates the activities of all stakeholders in tourism. The Department also carries out tasks previously entrusted to the state administration. Those activities are recently entrusted to the Zadar County by extraordinary laws. They relate to the economy, tasks connected to the performance of trades, catering, providing services in tourism, trade activities, and tasks for defining the fulfilment of spatial conditions for performing the activity of a caretaker in residential or commercial spaces, determining the reasons for the termination of cooperatives and funeral services.

Administrative Department for Croatian Veterans, Associations, Demography and Social Policy

Department activities:
The Administrative Department for Croatian veterans, associations, demography and social policy performs professional and administrative tasks in the field of veterans' associations, the social welfare system, coordinates investments and proposes the development of a network of institutions within its scope, monitors the social and demographic situation and needs.
The Department also carries out tasks entrusted to the state administration, which are recently assigned to the Zadar County by extraordinary laws, which relate to the establishment, registration and record of changes, as well as the management of the associations’ register, the tasks of registration in the register of local and foreign foundations. The maintenance of the foreign and local foundations’ registers, provision of legal assistance, tasks in the field of social activities related to the legal position, status and implementation of the rights of Croatian veterans from the Homeland War and their family members. The Department make available the rights of military and civilian war invalids, i.e. civilian victims of the Homeland War and their family members, the right to legal assistance (primary) for implementation of rights from the Act on the Rights of Victims of Sexual Violence during the armed aggression against the Republic of Croatia in the Homeland War, social welfare affairs, collection and provision of humanitarian aid.

Administrative Department for Agriculture, Fisheries and EU Funds

The Administrative department for agriculture, fisheries and EU funds performs administrative and professional tasks in the fields of agriculture, fishery and aquaculture, forestry, hunting, water management, rural and island development tasks. These tasks related to the operation of agricultural farms, development and renovation of rural areas, analytical planning and organizational coordination tasks in the same areas, tasks of implementation of the national island development program, development and implementation of the sustainable island development program, and performs other tasks in accordance with the law. Completes tasks in the field of regional development, preparation and implementation of strategic documents of regional significance and implementation of the regional development policy program, as well as coordination and evaluation of applications for priority and development projects significant for Zadar County. It ensures the development and implementation of projects of county interest and connects them with potential sources of funding, with an emphasis on EU funds. For the purposes of initiating and implementing projects within EU funds, the Department coordinates the work of administrative bodies of Zadar County, commercial companies and institutions that are the founder or majority owner of Zadar County. The department also carries out tasks entrusted to the state administration, which are entrusted to the County by special laws and which relate to agriculture, forestry and forests, as well as the tasks of establishing and maintaining a register of suppliers of Christmas trees.
